The matched pair of Dayton Audio CF50N-4MP combines 2” carbon fiber domes with high-energy neodymium motors to deliver accurate midrange response from incredibly compact packages. Sold as a frequency response matched pair, the CF50N-4MP ensures that your system will produce optimal imaging with a wide soundstage. The lightweight but rigid diaphragms have been optimized for wide dispersion and controlled response throughout the pass band. Rubber surrounds keep the domes centered while damping the edge of the diaphragms to keep any unwanted resonances well outside of the pass band. Finally, the cast aluminum faceplates have been designed to reduce diffraction and keep the off-axis response consistent and predictable. Offering low distortion with smooth response from 500 to 6,000 Hz, these midrange drivers are perfect for small 3-way designs and car audio installations.
Powerful neodymium motors keep each CF50N-4MP under 4” diameter without sacrificing efficiency or output capability. With 2” diameter vented aluminum formers, the voice coils can efficiently dissipate excess heat for high power handling without suffering from significant power compression. The damped rear chambers keep the drivers isolated for easy installation while minimizing internal reflections resulting in smoother response. Finally, the cast aluminum faceplates include integrated grills to protect the delicate domes from damage.
