Visaton SUB T-20.39, Subwoofer Kit using the Visaton TIW200XS.
The compact SUB T-20.39 subwoofer makes use of the same cabinet as the SUB W-20.39. In contrast, it uses the more powerful TIW 200 XS - 8 Ohm high-end woofer. The TIW 200 XS - 8 Ohm, designed through and through as a long-stroke driver, achieves an even lower level of limiting frequency and an increase in level accuracy. Its bass reproduction is exceptionally clear-cut.
As a result, the SUB T-20.39 is suitable for inclusion in small and medium-sized, high-grade speaker cabinets (e.g. ARIA, ARIA 2, COUPLET ), whether stereo or multi-channel systems. It is powerful enough to deliver hard-hitting bass attacks in normal rooms but is still highly compact in terms of its external dimensions.
Assembly
Simply glue the boards together (butt-jointed). The chamfers on the baffle can be applied with a power jig or circular saw set to 45° or applied later using an orbital sander.
Next, cut out the openings for the drivers and the bass reflex tube. If an amplifier module is to be used, the cut-out required for fitting it is cut into the rear wall. If no amplifier unit is to be used, fit the RPT15GCS connection terminal in the rear wall.
Depending on how the amplifier module is built, it may be necessary to physically separate the loudspeaker space from the amplifier module. In this case, the cabinet will have to be made larger so as not to steal any space from the woofer enclosure.
Inner damping
The damping material is evenly distributed in the cabinet.
